IN THE ROOM #10 – Freedom Needs Guardrails

Teams want autonomy.

Autonomy requires clarity.

Gallup’s first item in their Engagement tool, the Q12, asks:
”Do you know what’s expected of you at work?”

Without standards, autonomy becomes confusion.

Guardrails don’t restrict performance. They enable it.

Where would clearer expectations create more freedom in your team?
